In order to make better use of library resources, please read the following rules.
Renewal
If patrons want to renew books, you can click the” borrowing and reading query”. Then input your student number or work number and password (the initial is 001, and you can modify it when you enroll). Patrons can browse the list of their borrowing books. Just select the book you want to renew and click the renewal button. There is only once renewal and the renewal days are 30. If some of your borrowing books are overdue, the renewal is forbidden.

Overdue fines
Patrons should return books and CDs on time.
An overdue fine begins as soon as the book is overdue and is charged to your account. You should pay 0.1 yuan for a book per day. If not, the borrowing right will be revoked.
Losses
If patrons lose books, first of all, buy the same edition to compensate. If it is impossible, you will be charged for compensation according to the following formula.
1、Patrons should pay 20 times the original cost for the books before 1980; 15 times the original cost for the books before between 1981 and 1990.10 times the original cost for the books before between 1991 and 1995; 3 to 10 times the original cost for the books in 1996 and the later; CDs are compensated at 15 yuan per disc.
2、Internal materials, reference books, foreign books are compensated at 10 to 20 times the original cost.
3、Scarce books, unique copy are compensated at 20 times the market price.
4、If one or more of the multi-volumes and complete set are lost, the individual is compensated at 5 times original price. If there is no individual cost, you should compensate for the whole set at times original price.
5、The books without prices are compensated at 0.2 yuan per page. Note：Pay back for the damaged books and periodicals but can be used at 1 yuan per page. The penalty for the damaged books without use is as the same as the loss. The penalty for the patrons who damage books on purpose is to compensate at 30 times original price, besides returning the damaged books.
Procedure of Shipai Interlibrary Loan
[1] Faculty and doctoral students can apply for the general library cards. Campus card, a one-square-inch photo, and flat cost 5 yuan are needed in the application. The card holder can borrow 3 books from South China University of Technology Library, South China Normal University Library, JiNan University library, Guangdong University of Technology Library and Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University Library. The loan period is 30 days.
[2] Graduates, junior and senior students can apply for the general library cards. Campus card, a one-square-inch photo, and flat cost 5 yuan are needed in the application. Undergraduates entrust the monitor with his campus card to apply for 3 collection general library cards. The flat cost is 5 yuan. The cards are used to read but borrow literature from South China University of Technology Library, South China Normal University Library, JiNan University library, Guangdong University of Technology Library and Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University Library. The loan period is 30 days.
